American Marine Products uses only the highest quality gaskets, seals, and hardware. From high durometer vinyl to glass-filled nylon to stainless steel, these parts should provide years of excellent service.

Gaskets & Seals
High durometer vinyl is the norm for all of our gaskets, whether they are used on windows, windshields, or doors. This type of vinyl is hardened for greater resistance to the elements.
Santoprene and EPDM closed-cell foams are the materials of choice for window, windshield, and door seals. Closed-cell foam is essential in providing a weathertight seal.

Windshield & Window Hardware
American Marine windshields and windows use virtually the same hardware. Due to minor differences in the hardware, the framing system will need to be identified in order to provide the correct parts.

Glass-filled nylon is used in lieu of plastic for greater strength and durability. Combined with black anodized aluminum, black xylon-coated stainless steel, and chrome plated brass, our hardware offers a rugged, yet elegant, design.

American Marine offers both bolt-on and clamp-ring window framing systems, built to your specifications. These products are constructed using aluminum extrusions that are fully welded during fabrication and finished to yacht quality. A wide variety of frame finishes and glazing options are offered. Both systems are available with either mitered (angular) or radiused (rounded) corners.

Mariner Series

The Mariner Series bolt-on windows have a 1" wide flange around the periphery, with predrilled and countersunk mounting holes through the flange. Alternatively, the holes can be either excluded for direct bonding applications, or drilled laterally through the glazing area for a bolt-on application without visible fasteners. The Mariner series radiused corner windows require a cutout radius of 3". Available window types include fixed, vented, and 2-track sliding. Optional screens for sliding windows, and trim rings for all types, can also be provided.

Yachtsman Series

The Yachtsman Series clamp-ring windows utilize an interior screw attachment by sandwiching the bulkhead between the window flange and clamp-ring. The clamp-rings have slotted holes that align with a threaded screw channel on the window frame. A vinyl cover is inserted into the channel, hiding the screws and providing a finished look. The Yachtsman series radiused corner windows require a cutout radius of 3-3/8". Available window types include fixed, vented, and 2-track sliding. Screens for the sliding windows can also be provided.

The windshields manufactured by American Marine Products are of fully welded aluminum frame construction. Welded frames provide higher strength and a more eye-catching appearance than their mechanical counterparts. Windshields typically consist of three or more individual sections which, when assembled, form the complete windshield assembly. They can be provided with various options such as handrails, front and side vents, braces, and wire channels for wiper and running light wires, etc. Several finishes are available including powder coat or polyurethane paint and clear anodize.

The Bluewater Series utilizes 3/4" thick aluminum extrusions which are appropriate for small to medium sized boats. The Bluewater conventional windshield has all flat frames which are economical and suitable for custom and small quantity requirements. They are reasonably easy to specify for replacement needs.
The more stylish Bluewater curved windshield is appropriate for medium to larger boats with distinctive styling requirements. Because they are more difficult to design and fabricate, they are primarily suitable for production boat builders.

The Trident Series windshield is designed for larger boats of 40 feet and above. Its 1 1/4" thick framing provides the superior strength required for higher stress loading typical in offshore conditions. This windshield is only available to production boat builders.
